What is eMO!?

eMO! is a software application which enables Sun Hung Kai Financial ("SHKF") clients to trade Hong Kong securities and warrants using their mobile devices (Please also refer to the question "Which kind of mobile devices can support this application?"). Clients can trade anywhere, anytime with the service via 3G and WiFi networks

Where can I download SHKF eMO!?

SHKF eMO! can be downloaded from major mobile app stores including the Apple App Store, Google Play, Samsung Apps and 360 Mobile Assistant. Simply search for “SHKF eMO!” to download and install it on your mobile device.

Can non-SHKF clients use eMO!?

Yes, both clients and non-clients of SHKF can use SHKF eMO!. But HK shares trading and its related functions are only available for SHKF clients.

What steps do I need to take to access my trading account with eMO!?

The only requirement for you to access your trading account on eMO! is to complete the account activation process which can be done on the trading portals of SHKF (i.e. either www.shkfg.com or www.SHKdirect.com). Once the process is completed, you can have immediate access to your trading account via SHKF’s trading portals or eMO!

What if I have a trading account with SHKF but I cannot complete the account activation process?

It is possible that online service is not yet available to your account. Please call our Customer Service Hotline on (852) 2822 5001 for assistance

Do I need to register with eMO!?

You don’t need to register with eMO! no matter you are an existing SHKF client or not. You only need to activate the online service before you can have full access to eMO! services if you are our existing client. If you are not our existing client, you can still use various investment tools of eMO!.

Do I need a new login ID and password for eMO!?

You don’t need a new login ID and password for eMO! You can simply use your existing login ID and password

Is there any charge for using eMO!?

NO fee is required for downloading or using this application. eMO! is a free service from SHKF for both clients and non-clients

What is the optimal system requirement for eMO!?

iOS versions: OS 6 to 8.x.
Android versions : 2.2.x , 2.3.x or 4.2.x
Note: System incompatibility with eMO! may occur due to the different user interface and proprietary system design of various mobile devices, or if third party applications are installed. eMO! may not function properly on devices without security controls (known as jailbroken or rooted). The following is our supported handset list:

This will depend on your geographical location and the coverage of your telecommunication services provider

Can I modify the orders I have placed with eMO!?

With eMO!, you can amend or cancel an order if the order has not yet been completed. However, as any trading system has its inherent constraints, there is no guarantee that you can do so.

What types of orders are supported by SHKF eMO!?

Same as the web trading, SHKF eMO! supports Limit order, Enhanced Limit order, Special Limit order and At Auction Limit order.

What is Trading Password?

The Trading Password is a password that you need to enter when you confirm an order or instruction. For better online protection, we recommend using different passwords for trading and logging in.

Do I need to input the trading password every time I place an order?

Within a login session, you must input the trading password at least once. If you choose the "Bypass trading password for current session" option, you do not need to input the trading password again within a login session. If the login session has expired or the application has started from the background, then you will need to input the trading password again as the "Bypass" option has been turned off.

Can I place orders through eMO! during the extended trading hours?

Yes, the trading hours of eMO! are same as the market

Can I view the status of my orders via eMO!?

Yes, you can view the following orders in your account via eMO!: any open orders, orders that have expired or were canceled during the day, and historical information for the period of the last trading day up to its past 30 days

Does SHKF eMO! support dual tranche, dual counter (DTDC) trading permitted by The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited?

Yes, it does.

What account information can I access after logging in SHKF eMO!?

After logging in, you will be able to access your relevant account summary, portfolio holding, trade history, price alert and action form, etc.

Why is my account suspended (locked)?

To safeguard your trading account, your account will be suspended (locked) after 5 consecutive login failures. Please call our Customer Service Hotline on (852) 2822 5001 for password reset or other assistance.

If I am locked out of my eMO! account, can I login to my account via the online trading portal?

No. Once your account is being locked in eMO!, you cannot login your account via the online trading platform

When will I be logged out of my account?

eMO! has a built-in security mechanism which will automatically log out of your account if it is being left idle for 15 minutes or more. Simply login again to resume using the application

Do I need to use the service plan of any particular telecommunication service provider?

No, eMO! can be accessed via the network of any telecommunication service provider or anywhere with WiFi access. Please refer to the fees and charges schedule of your telecommunication service provider for mobile data usage

After logging into eMO!, can I switch to another application and then return to the service?

When you have logged into eMO!, you can switch to another application or web page. The eMO! service will not be suspended until you manually log it off or it is left idle for 15 minutes or more

Yes, you can use eMO! 24 hours a day, except during SHKF's regular maintenance period

How many snapshot quotes are provided by eMO!?

Current SHKF clients can enjoy the same snapshot real-time quotes according to the existing subscription plan and the quota of quotes is shared between web portal and eMO!. For non-SHKF clients, delayed quotes are available for free. To enjoy the full service of eMO!, please contact us to open an account

Is streaming real-time quote service available at eMO!?

No, streaming real-time quote service is not available at eMO!. However, if you have subscribed for the streaming real-time quote service for your online account, you will be able to enjoy unlimited use of snapshot real-time quotes via eMO!
